We have a heavy focus on preventative medicine to improve the quality of your pet’s life. Through routine testing and therapeutics, we can improve detection and prevention of medical problems.

Julie Anderson, DVM – Owner/Veterinarian​Dr. Anderson is a born and raised Tennessean. She grew up in Knoxville and Chattanooga. After working a summer between college semesters at the local veterinary hospital – she fell in love with veterinary medicine.

She went on to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville to pursue that career in veterinary medicine. She graduated with BS in Biology with honors; then went on to study veterinary medicine also at the University of Tennessee. After receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, she went directly to practicing emergency medicine.

Dr. Anderson went on to work the next 10 years in emergency medicine at several different clinics. During which time she worked at Blue Pearl Specialty & Emergency Hospital here in Franklin. She was able to work along side the specialists and receive training in internal medicine, critical care and surgery.
In 2013 Dr. Anderson decided to switch gears and enter into the private practice sector. She left Blue Pearl to join a private practice here in Brentwood. She really enjoyed the transition from specialty/emergency medicine to general practice. She enjoys all of the personal relationships that she has developed with clients and their pets over time.

She has special interests in internal medicine (cardiology, urology), soft tissue surgery, and wound management. She has gone on to have special training in abdominal ultrasound.

Dr. Anderson is married with a family of fuzzy children: 4 dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys spending her time off outdoors with photography, hiking and camping.
